For most of my life, I had a quiet feeling that I should know more about money and that I would figure it out "soon."
But they years passed by and like a lot of women, I didn’t know where to start — and the financial world felt like a private club I wasn’t invited to.
I started from scratch.
I made mistakes.
I figured things out the hard way.
And I learned you don’t need a finance degree, a stockbroker, or to be the “Wolf of Wall Street” to take control of your future.

In 1999, living in San Francisco during the dot-com boom, I dipped my toe into investing… right at the peak of the market.
It didn’t go well, but it was a great lesson.
Later, as I built a successful business, I found myself making money — but still feeling lost about how to protect and grow it.
I tried hiring “the experts,” and let's face it, they were all men, but most of them made me feel dismissed, confused, or invisible.
Eventually, I decided: if no one would explain it to me, I would teach myself.
It turns out — it’s not rocket science.
You just need the right tools and a little guidance.

Over the years, as soon as I mention investing, countless women have shared their secret struggles with me:
Feeling overwhelmed by money
Not knowing how to start saving, investing, or paying down debt
Feeling embarrassed to even ask basic questions
I saw the same fears and frustrations over and over — and I realized:
It doesn’t have to be this way.
So I started Creating Financial Confidence to make financial empowerment simple, supportive, and shame-free.

There are no stupid questions — only unanswered ones.
Financial confidence isn’t about how much you have — it’s about feeling in control.
You just need to have the will to learn and adjust and you need someone to walk alongside you —until you feel steady enough to run toward your own financial freedom.
